Champ Men head to Ringwood with work to do
30/08/2017

The Waverley Falcons State Championship Men will head to Ringwood this weekend needing to win two games to claim the Big V Men's State Championship.

A blistering shooting performance from the Hawks set up an opening game win on the Falcons home floor, the hot start giving them an advantage the Falcons couldn't quite reel in. A gamely effort from the Falcons saw the final margin trimmed to just 10 points, giving them hope heading into the second game that a win is possible if the Hawks can't get too far out in front.

The Falcons will no doubt look to star import Desmond Simmons and experienced finals players in Jason Reardon, Chris Arkell and Brad Kelleher to lead the way.

Game 2 will be on Saturday Night, September 2nd at 6pm, and if the Falcons are successful in forcing a Game 3, this will be on the following day, Sunday September 3rd at 1pm.

Both Game 2 and Game 3 (if required) will be at The Rings, Maroondah Hwy, Ringwood.
