The Waverley Basketball Association is pleased to announce that Elias Palioyiannis has joined our administration team in a full time position, with the appointment of him as the Coach & Player Development Officer for Domestic Clubs and the Waverley Falcons Juniors. The Falcons position will not commence until the end of this season. It will include control of both the Girls and Boys program.

Elias has now been at Waverley for 20 years from an Under 14 player through to Championship Men and in recent times acting as head Coach of our Senior Women and Junior Girls program.

Eric Minerve will continue as the Boys Coaching Director and Youth League Men until the end of the season. Eric and General Manager Mike Bullock will continue to discuss his possible involvement in our Senior Falcon program next season. His achievements for the club have been outstanding with two National Under 18 Championships in 2009 and 2013 and two Senior Championships in the Big V League in 2010 and 2011.

This appointment will coincide with a number of internal changes of responsibility with other staff members and is part of a 5 year plan to upgrade our services to all using our centre for their participation. Over recent months you would have noticed many structural changes to our building to enhance the enjoyment of playing at Waverley and more structural improvement will continue during the 2014/15 period.
