Waverley Basketball was lucky to avoid the heat wave the other week, while the Australian Open and Big Bash had to push on in the 40+ days, we got to sit at home with our pedastle fans.

Not so this week.

With today's top expected to hit 39 and few more warm days before a scorching weekend, teams are reminded that Waverley Domestic will still be on. We have our coolers working on all the courts cooling the air down, and referees will be implementing the WBA Heat Policy. Games will not be cancelled based on the current forcasts.

Please come prepared for your games in this hot weather, bringing ample fluids and try and make sure your team has at least six players at the game so everyone gets a sub at some point.

Please also remember in this hot weather that the Ice Chest is for INJURIES ONLY. Please do not take a bag of ice from the chest just to cool down, and don't let the kids take ice from the chest either. If everyone who is hot this weeks grabs a bag of ice from the chest, there won't be any ice left for people or are genuinly injured.
