September is a month synonymous with all sorts of finals, and it is no different at the Falcons Nest with our Junior Falcons VJBL sides hitting the courts in finals Basketball.

A whole swag of Falcons teams qualified for finals this season in a range of age groups and divisions, and many of them are still in contention and we get to the business end.

Our Under 18 VC Boys have progressed to the preliminary final after a comfortable win over Keilor on Friday, they are now just one win away from the VC Grand Final. The Under 18 VC Girls also made finals but unfortunately were eliminated by Frankston on Friday, still they can walk away satisfied with a seventh placed finish in Victoria.

In the VC Reserves, the Under 12 and Under 14 Boys both made finals, however both went down on Friday ending what were very positive seasons for both groups.

In the VJL and Regional divisions, the Falcons are well represented. Among the highlights for the Falcons in finals so far are the Under 12 VJL 1 Girls, who have won their way through to the Grand Final with an impressive effort against Camberwell, and the Under 18 VJL 4 Waverley (3) team, who won a nail biter to RSVP for the Grand Final a week before the date.

In Under 16 East 2 Boys, there is a bit of local flavour as the Waverley (2) and Waverley (3) boys will square off with the winner advancing to the Grand Final.
