Waverley entered an Under 12 Girls Development Squad into the Nunawading Tournament on Queen's Birthday Weekend.

It is the first time since 2009 that the Falcons have run a development squad in a tournament, it proved a massive success that year with many of those girls still in the program, and it is hoped this seasons group will also develop into long time Falcons players.

Tanya and Scott Gunther looked after the team on the weekend, which featured players who have been training in the Falcons development squad on Friday afternoons.

The team was able to grab two wins over the weekend and a couple of close losses, but more importantly got some early exposure to Representative Basketball, and something to work to for the next few months before planning begins for next season.
