After a gruelling phase two of grading for the Falcons Friday Night VJBL teams, the Victorian Junior Championship (VC) season begins this week and Waverley will have an amazing 6 teams competing.

Friday Night's crossover games saw both the Under 14 Boys and Under 16 Boys record comprehensive wins and book their spot in the state's elite Junior Basketball competition.

The Under 18 Boys cemented their spot by finishing first in their group after the second phase of grading, while the Under 12 Boys, Under 14 Girls and Under 18 Girls grabbed a spot before the Summer break with an outstanding effort in Grading Phase One.

The Under 12 girls came harrowingly close the making the grade as well, falling just short in their crossover.

Finally, the Under 20 Boys team are in the box seat to make VC in the slightly different Under 20 format, needing just one more win to take their place.

It has been a great effort by these teams, with nearly all Falcons firsts sides either making VC or going very close.

Other Falcons teams continue with their crossover games and practice games for another coupe of weeks, before the VJL and Regional seasons kick off after the long weekend. It promises to be an exciting year for the Junior Falcons.
