The Under 16.2 Boys had a mixed bag of results during the tournament, coach Paul Angus believes the weekend has the team well prepared for the next set of games.
The results for the team were as follows:
Waverley 38 V Warrandyte 3 32
Waverley 31 V Eltham 5 46
Waverley 37 V Camberwell 31 ( Camberwell made the finals ) Waverley 16 V Kilsyth 27 Waverley 22 V Bullen 33 Waverley 33 V Ringwood 3 40 ( Ringwood were undefeated )
The players had a great tournament despite the loss - win ratio. It was a terrific opportunity for the team to blow the sand and dust off their basketball boots and get back into the swing of things. The weekend also provided all those positive elements of a tournament - team bonding, lots of court time & highlighting things to work on.
If the players can continue to give the terrific efforts seen over the weekend then all involved can look forward to a rewarding 2013 season.
