The Under 14.3 Boys had a great weekend, making the finals and holding their nerve through some close games to grab the winners' trophy. Coach Mike Saba sent us this wrap of an exciting and successful tournament.

Waverley 14.3 Boys won the U14 BCX division at the Eltham Dandenong Australia Day tournament on the weekend. In the finals, finishing stronger than the opposition over the 8 weekend games, the boys defeated the two undefeated teams in the division, winning both the Semi Final and Grand final by 3 points each, with the grand final going into overtime on a heart stopping see-sawing score line. All nine players contributed tremendously in a very even team effort, with Austin Saba awarded by the referees the Grand Final MVP. The boys are looking forward to the rest of VJBL grading, with just a few days rest in between!”
