This weekend promises to be a massive one for the Falcons with many teams competing in Grand Finals, while the Under 18 Boys play for a spot in the VC Grand Final.
VJL Grand Finals Friday Night:

It has been a season of ups and downs for the 14/1 girls, after losing their Championship crossover game by just one point, the infamous 'VC hangover' appeared to take hold as they struggled for early wins in VJL1. In time however, the girls regained their spark and simply ran teams off the floor. Despite spending most of the season in third place, they went on a swashbuckling run through the second half of the year and made their way to first. Despite a growing injury list, they dealt with Diamond Valley 2 in their semi-final a fortnight ago, but now must do it again on the biggest stage. Will the Falcons run like Forrest Gump on their way to a Championship, or will they be brought down like his friend Bubba?
UNDER 16 GIRLS - VJL3 - Coach: Mark Sainsbery

After defying the odds to go on a tremendous run into finals, the girls have had to deal with a very interrupted preparation for the big one. Coach Sainsbery returns from overseas, adding some stability to a team who has had three different coaches in the last month and a half. Add in some key injuries and it has been quite an effort getting ready for the Grand Final. What is undeniable though is the quality talent in this team, two weeks ago they put Frankston (3) to the sword, however the Blues bounced back with a strong win last week and will be seeking some revenge here. It would be silly to underestimate the Blues however it is a great opportunity here for the Falcons if they work hard and stick to the game plan.
