Former Waverley State Championship Women's player Kathleen Macleod has recently been selected in the Opals team to compete at the upcoming London Olympics.
This is sensational news for the well liked point guard who has been working extremely hard in recent years to achieve the ultimate success.
In 2008, Macleod was a dominate factor in the SCW Team reaching the Grand Final Series. Unfortunately, the team lost narrowly to the Hume City Broncos, but Macleod enjoyed an inspiring series. She was rewarded with joint league MVP honours and selection in the BigV All Star Team to cap off a fine year.
