The U14.4 Boys team had a very thrilling weekend of basketball at the 2011 Eltham Dandenong Tournament. There were many fine moments to be remembered but a highlight, that will be long talked about, was James Katsorhis' 3 pointer on the siren that turned a drawn game into a win for the 14.4 Boys team and resulted in the team just getting over the line to play in the Semi Final.

Playing in the semi-final is a huge achievement when there are so many teams in the competition and that requires a full team effort so well done to all boys on a great effort.  

 

Congratulations must go to Hector Ryan on getting the best player award in that Semi. The Semi Final was a close, intense game that could have gone either way but unfortunately Eltham 8 defeated Wav 4, 31 to 21.

 

Thanks to the coaches, Clive Landale and Peter Ryan for their guidance and unwavering commitment in helping get the boys so far in the tournament. Thanks also to scorers and to parents for getting the boys to all the various venues.

 

Congratulations to the dedicated team of Trent Scarton, Michael Barrett, Hector Ryan, Adam Adamos, Mark Russell, Dohuyn Kim, James Katsorhis and Samuel Landale. There were many fine individual performances and some great team play.
