Entered into the long standing Tournament, the girls enjoyed mixed success over the weekend. A narrow first up loss to Warragul was followed up with solid wins against Traralgon and Maffra finishing the preliminary games with a loss to Dandenong to finish in 4^th place of the 8 team pool.

Reaching the Semi Final against the visiting New Zealand team was a fantastic achievement, however, a much more talented team of shooters, ball handlers with a massive height advantage proved too strong for the Falcons. The New Zealand Team was made up of rep players from the North Island and despite their obvious talent, our girls did not give in easily taking the game right up to the “Kiwi’s” in a positive conclusion to the Tournament. The girls enjoyed the weekend and certainly lived up to the Tournament Motto of “Let’s have fun...”

A big thanks to all parents for their continued support of the team and well done to all players for showing a great Falcons fighting spirit. Thanks also to Karen Corry (Team Manager) and Anthony Garnham (Assistant Coach) for their hard work as well.
