Two Waverley Falcons Junior Teams will compete in this weekend’s National Junior Classic at the Dandenong Basketball Stadium. This is the first time Waverley has had multiple teams represent the association. The U/16.1 and U/18.1 Boys teams have qualified to compete in the best of Victoria’s competition against other interstate squads. Both teams have qualified with high rankings, placing them in a strong position to be competitive for finals on Monday.
Anthony Dimis’s 16 boys and Eric Minerve’s 18 boys will be ready to take on the best junior talent in the country and this is a great opportunity to get behind these two teams and support the Falcons.
Waverley would like to congratulate Anthony Dimis for making his third Junior Classic Tournament and Eric Minerve for his first Classic as a Head Coach after assisting Anthony a few years ago in Waverley’s first appearance.
