The Waverley Under 14 (3) girl’s team has recently been finding form and are currently sitting in 3rd position in their pool. After a relative slow start to the season, the girls have lifted the tempo in recent weeks with teamwork being a real positive of their game. Last week’s game against McKinnon saw the girls outscore the Cougars 28 – 4 in the second half to record a comfortable victory. Hannah Llewellyn has been proving a real headache recently for the opposition and with the continued improvement of bottom age players Holly Sainsbery, Demi Kapes and Sami Stewart, the team are starting to show some real Falcon fighting spirit. The experience of more senior players such as Suzanne DeNeefe and Lexi Rowe has complimented the team structure. Coach Pancho DeNeefe has been very impressed with the performances of his charges and is pleased with the way the girls are bonding as a team and applying the hard work from their practice into the game situation.
