Next week will be one of the most exciting around Waverley Basketball for some time as NCAA and professional teams hit the Nest for games.
Beginning this weekend with Game 2 (and possibly Game 3) of the Big V State Championship Men's semi-final between Waverley and Ringwood, the action keeps rolling into the week.
On Tuesday, August 23, the Melbourne Boomers WNBL team will take on the Houston Baptist University Huskies in an exhibition game.
The action continues on Thursday when Waverley's own Big V Men's team take on Eastern Washington University. The Men will be hoping this game will form a part of their preperation for the Big V Grand Final series, but even if it isn't, this is still sure to be a great game.
It's been a long time since we've had this much great basketball on our doorstep in such quick succession, to have Big V finals, NCAA and professional teams all hitting the Nest in the one week is extremely exciting.
There will be a door entry fee at each game ($5 for Big V, $3 for exhibition games) and we reccomend you arrive with plenty of time to grab a seat and settle in for a great night.
