Vic Championship about to take off

The Victorian Junior Championship season gets underway on Friday the 26th of February.

While most of us mere mortals continue to slog it out in crossover games, or biding time waiting for the VJL season to get underway, the VC teams need wait no more as the action tips off for their home and away season.

The Under 16 and Under 18 boys, both coming off thrilling crossover wins last week to qualify for VC at the final stand, will keep the home fires burning with a Court 1 double header.

The Under 12 and Under 18 girls will start their Home and Away season with a trip over to our Neighbours at Nunawading for a couple of big games worthy of a soap opera, while the Under 14 girls head to East Doncaster where they'll try to get off to a booming start against Bulleen.

VC is a different sort of competition where the top 10 and bottom 10 are split at the half way point, so early wins are very crucial to teams with ambitions to make that top 10.

Meanwhile our other Falcons teams continue to edge towards the start of the VJL and Regional seasons. It's only a couple of weeks away and you can really feel the excitment around the courts.
