Waverley Falcons Junior Claire Ioannidis went into beast mode for her North Florida Ospreys in the first game of the season, breaking all sorts of school records in a virtuoso performance that had the whole conference talking.
Claire's 29 point outburst was the highest total for a North Florida player in NCAA Division 1 Basketball, while also re-writing the record books with her perfect 12/12 from the free throw line amongst a bunch of other noteworthy statistics in the Osprey's close win.
For her efforts, Claire has been named Co-Player of the Week and also Newcomer of the Week in the Atlantic Sun Women's Basketball Conference.
Claire was a Falcons Junior right through from Under 12s into the Women's Big V program, including a starting role in the Youth League side, and couldn't have started her NCAA Division 1 career on a better note.
