WBA response to Vic State of Emergency
17/03/2020

Dear Members,

The Victorian State Government has declared a State of Emergency for the next four weeks in the response to the current COVID-19 pandemic. Waverley Basketball Association will remain closed for the next four weeks from Monday 16th of March until Monday 13th of April 2020. Basketball Victoria have suspended all related basketball activities, programs and events through this period. The dates of the suspension may change and we will provide updates as necessary.

This morning, WBA have made the decision to cancel the remainder of the Summer 2019/20 Senior Domestic season. This is not a decision made lightly and we understand the disappointment that will come with this. However, we trust that you will understand the difficult position we currently face and understand that our top priority is our members health and wellbeing.

The Waverley Stadium will remain closed for all basketball related activities, programs and events.  WBA staff will be operating as normal in preparation for the 2020 Winter season; however, the commencement date is yet to be confirmed.  We will continue to provide updates as the current situation evolves.

We thank you for your support and understanding during this difficult time.
