Falcons Women edged out
22/08/2017

The Falcons Championship Women have been knocked out of the semi-finals despite a gallant effort on the home floor on Saturday.

Facing a 0-1 deficit against a talented Bulleen Boomers outfit, the Falcons battled hard and stayed right in it for long periods of the game, eventually worn down by the Boomers' size, with the offence drying up in the second half.

Despite finishing the regular season in second place, it was a tough ask for the Falcons as the Boomers showed great improvement and were the in-form team int he league heading into finals.

The Falcons brightest stars will again be staking their claims for WNBL action this coming season, while for some it will be a bit of a rest, before getting up and about for the start of pre-season.
